The easiest sale: reminding regular customers to reorder
Your existing customers already trust you. A reminder at the right time often wins an order that would otherwise go to someone else.

Most businesses spend their energy on new buyers and forget that regular customers buy on a rhythm. When a customer who orders every six weeks has not ordered in nine, something has changed. A short message before the next order is due keeps you first in line.
Find each customer’s buying cycle
- Export your past sales from Tally or your billing software: date, company, product, quantity, value.
- For each customer, look at the usual number of days between orders.
- Note rate contracts and when they end.
When to get in touch
- About a week before the next order is usually due: a friendly reminder, not a sales pitch.
- A month before a rate contract ends: time for a renewal meeting.
- When a customer has gone quiet for twice their usual gap: a call from the person who knows them.
- On festivals: a greeting, without an offer attached.
Keep it personal and honest
- Never put internal notes in a message: order values, how often they buy, or that they look at risk.
- No “best price” or “guaranteed”. Mention a price only if it is agreed.
- One reminder for each expected order is enough.
How Ravi does this in Sellyx
Ravi reads your past sales from a CSV or a Tally export, works out each customer’s buying cycle and drafts a reminder from seven days before the next order is due. He drafts festival greetings, asks for reviews after an order, and gives the customer’s owner a call to make when a customer goes quiet. A person approves and sends every message.
