Listed is not the same as connected: getting enquiries from your directory listings

Many businesses pay for directory listings and still miss enquiries. The listing is there; the enquiries do not reach the person who should answer them.

Being listed on IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Alibaba or an industry directory means buyers can find you. Being connected means every enquiry from that listing reaches someone who replies. Many businesses are listed but not connected: enquiry alerts go to an old email address, to a phone that nobody checks, or to an app that one person opens once a day.

Check where your enquiries go

  • For each lead site, find the email address and phone number that receive enquiry alerts.
  • Make sure they reach someone who is at work today, not someone who left last year.
  • Bring them into one place, so a missed alert in one app does not mean a missed buyer.

Keep the listing itself correct

  • Products: is everything you sell listed, and nothing you have stopped making?
  • Titles: does each title say what the product is, in the words a buyer would search for?
  • Details: photos, certificates, minimum order and contact details that are up to date.
  • Your own website should say the same things as your listings.

How Sellyx helps

Asha reads enquiries from your lead sites, mailbox and WhatsApp in one inbox. Tara checks your listings and your website every week against your approved knowledge and writes each fix for your team to copy: a new title, missing products, an old certificate.
